About the Course

The Diploma in Digital Health (DDH) is a collaboration between the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the Health Services Academy (HSA), and Shalamar Medical & Dental College (SMDC). The diploma is a premier digital health education program tailored for healthcare professionals of Pakistan seeking to lead in digital health, AI in clinical practice, health informatics, and healthcare data science.

This hybrid diploma program is built on the international Digital Health Competencies in Medical Education (DECODE) framework, which is an evidence-informed, consensus-guided, adaptable digital health competencies framework for the design and development of digital health curricula in medical institutions globally.

Registration & Selection Process

1) Participants in their final year of a professional/undergraduate degree (4th year or 5th year) must register for the Diploma in Digital Health (DDH) online through the 'Register' button on the right and fill out a one-page form.

2) You must have the following information with you while you are filling out the form:

a) A passport-sized photograph (smaller than 2MB) for the smartcard. It should be against a white background.

b) Correct CNIC details or Passport No. (optional).

c) Statement of Purpose: (i) what motivates you to join this course [100 words]; (ii) description of your academic profile & achievements [100 words]; and (iii) a summary of your healthcare career & area of specialization.

d) Three supporting documents (e.g. recent educational degree, Academic or professional honors/awards, medical license etc.) that strengthen your application for the program.

3) Once registered, the Selection Committee will review your application and shortlist candidates for admission in the program.

4) An invitation to attend the program will then be sent to the shortlisted candidates, along with the fee voucher.

5) Once the fee is paid, the participants will receive a final notification of admission to the DDH program.

Payment for the Course

Once you have received the fee voucher for the program, you may proceed to the payment section. You have three options for lumpsum payment:

1) Pay online using your bank debit/credit cards through LUMS online payment system: https://pay.lums.edu.pk

2) Download the fee voucher and deposit cash in any branch of the designated banks specified on the fee voucher.

3) Pay through your online banking app using the 1Bill option. Please refer to the voucher for more information.

Once the payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 to 48 working hours, and your payment status will be updated to "ENROLLED" in the online application portal.

Refund Policy:

Participants are eligible for a 75% refund if a request is submitted at least two weeks prior to the commencement of DDH classes. Once the classes have started, no refunds will be issued. However, participants may opt to defer their enrollment to the next DDH cohort, subject to availability and scheduling.

Course Outline

Note: LLI may cancel or postpone a course due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. In this case, the university will refund registration/processing fee (if any) but will not be responsible for any other related charges/expenses including cancellation/change charges by airline and travel agencies.
