Mastering the Art of Teaching & Training

The "Mastering the Art of Teaching and Training" programme is a 3-day workshop offered in a small group setting at LUMS that is designed to improve the teaching effectiveness of both novice and experienced educators. Led by a team of LUMS Facilitators/Instructors, the programme covers core topics such as lesson structure, classroom assessment techniques, and methods for engaging students in learning.

During the programme, participants will have the opportunity to practice teaching skills and learn new techniques by teaching a 10-minute lesson each day. Working in small groups, they will receive extensive written and verbal feedback on their teaching from their peers and facilitators, providing them with valuable insights into the student perspective.

Educators and Teachers in higher education will find this training particularly useful.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Construct intended learning outcomes (ILOs)

  • Incorporate active learning strategies into lessons

  • Enhance lesson planning and delivery approaches

  • Collect and utilise feedback from learners about lesson delivery

  • Provide valuable and constructive feedback on others' lessons

Please note that Mastering the Art of Teaching and Training has a team of instructors. The Instructors for each training may vary.
